Friday, October 5, 2018
Escorted by her father David Nelson, North Putnam High School senior Shalyn Nelson is crowned 2018 homecoming queen at halftime of Friday night’s 19-7 North Putnam loss to Greencastle. The victory gives the visiting Tiger Cubs the 2018 Putnam County football title, with victories over the other three local schools for a 7-1 record and second place currently in the WIC West Division. • Title: "Royal Family".

Picture: very pretty young lady that has just been crowned North Putnam's 2018 Homecoming Queen, and her father.

What does the "rest of the story" have to do with "Royal Family"? It's all about Greencastle football! There is an entire section of the paper dedicated to sports and they get complete articles about the game and then there will be additional articles about conference placings, along with pre-game articles every week. The info about Gc's conference placings have absolutely nothing to do with Shayla being NP's Homecoming Queen!!

  • Agreed. Story should be about the queen, not the team.
