A Taste of Fun

Monday, October 8, 2018
Again combining First Friday and the annual Taste of Putnam County lured a large crowd to the courthouse square Friday evening to sample what several local eateries have to offer and enjoy activities and music as well. With local musician Jack Gibson (above) playing his guitar and singing a bit in the Silver Lady Saloon booth, Riley Featherstone hands a tenderloin sandwich to a patron.

Toni Sanders (below), who’s usually seen handing over tasty cinnamon rolls to customers with daughter Chasity in their Blessed Hands Bakery in Cloverdale, picks up chalk to write the names of her grandchildren on the pavement in anticipation of the downtown arrival of Angel, Leola, Liam, Jedidiah and Abela.

Taking advantage of the First Friday putt-putt course, meanwhile, are Johonnah Goodpaster, 8, (left) and sister Sonora, 11, of Seelyville, who came to the event with grandma Kitty York of Greencastle.
