Friday, October 19, 2018

The Putnam County Community Foundation recently announced the awards in the 2018 Share the Dream program. Share the Dream awarded $20,821.81 in matching funds to this year’s participating endowments.

Share the Dream is a program in which growth is encouraged among endowments held at the Community Foundation.

During the 2018 program, Share the Dream participants raised a total of $41,083.87 to increase their endowments.

“We were able to make awards to 21 different endowments based on the success of their efforts, which is more than double the number of groups we’ve been able to help in the past,” said Dean Gambill, PCCF director of community development. “Having that many groups qualify for awards is amazing and will benefit Putnam County forever.”

Additionally, the A. Dylan Hess #14 Strong Memorial Scholarship received a $1,000 grant bonus for having received gifts from 79 donors; the greatest number of donors. All grant prizes are awarded directly to endowment funds to continue to grow and do good, forever.

All endowments at the Community Foundation were eligible to enter the Share the Dream program unless they were involved in an Endowment Builder grant or were a Donor Advised Endowment.
