County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Sunday.

• At 4:04 p.m. Nathan Joseph Kemper, 19, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 10:04 a.m. Kathryn Rose Hensley, 27, Terre Haute, was booked in for theft.

• At 4:09 a.m. David Andrew Lane, 23, Greencastle, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated endangering a person

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to 12 recent dispatches:

• At 7:54 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 407 S. Jackson St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 7:57 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset.

GFD left at 8:04 p.m.

• At 3:41 p.m. on Saturday, GFD responded to a report of telephone and cable lines down at 108 Northwood Blvd. Units arrived at 3:47 and found that lines had fallen and damaged homes. They remained on scene until Duke Energy repaired the lines.

GFD cleared the scene at 4:32 p.m.

• At 4:13 p.m. on Saturday, GFD was called to the intersection of Hanna and Illinois streets for debris in the roadway. Units arrived at 4:18 and cleared the roadway.

GFD went back into service at 4:39 p.m.

• At 4:33 p.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to 128 W. Berry St. for an electrical hazard. Units arrived at 4:36 and attended to the removal of power lines from the roof of a house.

GFD went back into service at 5:48 p.m.

• At 4:43 p.m. on Saturday, GFD responded to a report of a tree on the roadway at the intersection of Beveridge and Jackson streets. Units arrived at 4:50 but found that the tree had already been removed.

GFD went back into service at 4:54 p.m.

• At 5:54 p.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to 1057 Avenue C St. for a tree down. Units arrived at 6 p.m. and attended to the tree removal.

GFD went back into service at 6:16 p.m.

• At 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to 406 S. Indiana St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 6:37 but could not determine a cause for the alarm. The alarm was then reset.

GFD left at 6:42 p.m.

• At 7:54 p.m. on Saturday, GFD was called to an automobile accident with injuries at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway and Bloomington Street. Units arrived at 7:57 and attended to the injured and debris.

GFD cleared the scene at 8:32 p.m.

• At 8:04 p.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to 313 E. Hanna St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 8:08 and determined that the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset.

GFD left at 8:17 p.m.

• At 8:25 p.m. on Sunday, GFD was dispatched to 208 E. Olive St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 8:30 and found that the alarm was caused by perfume. The alarm was then reset.

GFD left at 8:49 p.m.

• At 9:10 p.m. on Sunday, GFD was dispatched to 1542 S. Bloomington St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 9:17 and no cause for the alarm could be determined. Maintenance for the building was on scene and relayed it would repair the alarm.

GFD left at 9:41 p.m.

• At 3:11 a.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to a fire alarm at 415 Anderson St. Firefighters arrived at 3:17 and found that a hot water line had leaked and was steaming. No action was reported in GFD’s log book at the time the incident was relayed to the Banner Graphic.

GFD left the scene at 3:34 a.m.

Additionally, GFD performed six medical assists and had one disregard during this time.
