Betty Jean Bruner

Betty Jean (Cox) Bruner "Grandma B," 88, Greencastle, passed away on Oct. 19, 2018.

She was born on April 20, 1930 to Clayton and Winnie (Davis) Cox.

Betty married Charles Bruner on Nov. 22, 1947.

She was preceded in death by husband Charles Bruner, daughter Becky Richardson, and granddaughters Elizabeth Cooper and Lucy Bea Richardson.

She is survived by four daughters, Theresa Covey, Patricia (Larry) Hutson, Sarah (Mark) Quasebarth and Ruth (Randy) Jones; brothers Russell (Marcella) Cox and Jerry (Wilma) Cox; sisters Doris Knauer, Barbara Boller Stewart and Anna Bernice Morgan; 11 grandchildren, Shelly Markham, Matt Richardson, Josh Richardson, Zach Covey, Aaron Covey, Jeremy Hutson, Natasha Hutson Miller, Erika Fields, Bobbie Miller, Damon Miller and Haley Franklin; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

She worked for Shuee and Sons for more than 20 years.

In her retirement her passion was to volunteer at the Putnam County Senior Center and Rescued Treasures.

Betty was full of life and would never slow down; she was always on the go. She was known by many and loved by all. She will be deeply missed not only by family but friends and her furry "Good Boy" Rueben.

A memorial service has been set for Nov. 3 from 1-3 p.m. in the Northex at St. Paul Catholic Church in Greencastle.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Putnam County Senior Center or Rescued Treasures.
