Star Student

For displaying responsibility through her words and actions, Greencastle High School senior Gretchen Weliever (center) is one of two GHS students honored as Character Education Program Star Students for September. Presenting a $25 check to Weliever are Student Star co-sponsors GHS Assistant Principal Yolanda Goodpaster (right) and Lisa Duggan. Not pictured is senior Ivy Wright. Weliever and Wright were among 19 nominees by GHS teachers and staff for the monthly Student Star honor. The $25 monthly award is funded by Balfour, which provides graduation items, including caps and gowns, to GHS.
