Election Day is one week from today

The U.S. Senate ads have reached the height of their nastiness.

Early voting has been going for nearly three weeks.

Our mailboxes are even more cluttered with junk mail than normal.

That’s right, election season is in full swing with the 2018 midterm elections just one week away.

Here in Putnam County, there remain several more days of early voting available before the more traditional approach of voting on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Early voting remains in place on the second floor of the Putnam County Courthouse from 8:30 a.m. through 4 p.m. each weekday.

This opportunity will remain in place through noon on Monday, Nov. 5.

Then on Election Day, the polls will be open from 6 a.m. through 6 p.m. at any of eight vote centers spread throughout Putnam County:

• Putnam County Courthouse, 1 Courthouse Square, Greencastle

• Reelsville Fire Department, 7748 S. CR 625 West, Reelsville

• Floyd Township Fire Department, 6901 E. CR 380 North, Fillmore

• Greencastle American Legion, 1401 Indianapolis Rd., Greencastle

• Cloverdale American Legion, 501 S. Main St., Cloverdale

• Bainbridge Community Building, 201 N. Grant Ave., Bainbridge

• Putnam County Fairgrounds Community Building, 191 N. U.S. 231, Greencastle

• Wellspring Christian Church, 3256 S. CR 725 East, Coatesville

Voters are reminded that in the absence of traditional precinct-specific polling places, they may go to any of the vote centers in the county to cast a ballot.

To vote early or on Election Day, an Indiana driver’s license, Indiana state ID, federal ID or passport is required.
