Taters and Tot

It wouldn’t be Halloween in the Fillmore area without the creativity of Becki and Bryce Arnold, who annually turn a corner of their property at 3775 E. CR 50 North (Right-of-Way Road) in Marion Township into a must-see holiday treat. This year the hay bales on the Arnold property have been transformed into Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head and Spud, continuing a tradition that began in 2013 with The Minions from “Despicable Me,” which were followed by Mike and Sulley of “Monsters Inc.,” SpongeBob SquarePants and pal Patrick, Peanuts characters in honor of the comic strip’s 50th anniversary in 2016 and Lilo and Stitch from the cartoon of the same name last year. Visiting recently are Jaxon Birt, a 10-year-old fifth-grader at Fillmore School, and his eight-year-old sister Hallie, a second-grader, allowing grandmother Penny Long to snap this colorful shot.
