Putnam Surgical Specialities adds new surgeon

Putnam Surgical Specialties and the Department of Surgery at Putnam County Hospital have announced the addition of Dr. Keith Thomae, M.D., to their surgical staff.

With more than 20 years experience, he joins the Putnam County team after performing approximately 20,000 cases.

Dr. Thomae studied medicine at the University of Wisconsin followed by a residency at Loyola University-Chicago. He earned his associate professor of surgery/trauma at the University of Mississippi.

Dr. Thomae has vast knowledge in abdominal issues, hernia, gallbladder, colon issues, GI issues, laparoscopy, vein care, cosmetic surgery, trauma and critical care, emergency surgeries and EGDs, just to name a few.

As a member of several surgical societies, Dr. Thomae is excited to bring his knowledge and experience to PCH, promising “I will treat you like family“ and vowing to “provide timely, compassionate and quality surgical care using the newest technologies and state-of-the-art medicine.”
