North Putnam to stage 'Curious Savage' Friday, Saturday
The North Putnam High School fall play, "The Curious Savage," is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9-10.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
"The Curious Savage" tells the story of Ethel Savage (Josie Lyons) whose late husband has left her $10 million.
She is in the process of spending it all to help those less fortunate than herself when her three stepchildren, Titus (Mason Allen), Lily Belle (Elizabeth Graves) and Samuel (Dylan Arnold), decide to have her committed to a sanitarium to prevent her from spending their inheritance.
While living at The Cloisters, Ethel subsequently becomes involved in the lives of the residents there -- Florence (Lauren Lotzow), Fairy May (Grace Elmore), Mrs. Paddy (Hannah Clodfelter), Hannibal (Aiden Millican) and Jeffrey (Zachary Koll) -- who are all there for treatment.
Helping them along are Dr. Emmett (Kyle Young) and Miss Wilhelmina (Lexanne Fuchs).
Mrs. Savage foils the plans of her stepchildren and makes positive changes in her own life and in the lives of those around her.
The play is directed by Dustin Bond with assistant director/technical director Craig Armitage. Thespian sponsor is Jason Lafever.
Set design is done by Linda Gjesvold with costuming done by Sarah Bond.
Light board operator for the NPHS fall play is Shelby Hilton, while stage manager is Abigail Gaddis and the stage crew consists of Madelynn Burgess, Jordan Hanger and Clara Alford.
