The coaches: Former North Putnam coach Dave Pasch is in his 11th year at Lutheran. Nathan Aker is in his fifth year at South Putnam.

On the airwaves: WREB-FM 94.3 will air the game.

So far: Lutheran lost 34-26 to Beech Grove, beat Cardinal Ritter 32-21, lost 31-0 to Triton Central, beat Oldenburg Academy 47-22 and Park Tudor 35-6, lost 50-7 to Indianapolis Scecina and beat Monrovia 22-10, Speedway 39-7, Indianapolis Shortridge 46-0, South Decatur 42-12, North Decatur 27-12 and Hagerstown 32-13.

South Putnam beat Cloverdale 6-0 and Owen Valley 57-14 and lost 20-2 to North Putnam, 12-0 to Greencastle, 40-16 to Edgewood, 44-8 to West Vigo, 47-14 to Sullivan and 63-8 to Northview before beating Owen Valley 42-0, Indianapolis Shortridge 44-13, Indianapolis Howe 30-14 and Traders Point Christian 55-8.

Per-game averages: Offense — Lutheran 29.6, South 23.5. Defense — Lutheran 18.2, South 22.9.

Opponents’ records: Lutheran 62-63, South 68-61.

The next round: The winner will be in the final four in the state in Class A and will play the winner of tonight’s North Vermillion-North Central game next week in the semistate.

History: Lutheran won 47-0 over South at home in the 2014 sectional semifinals. The teams have played twice over the past 30 years and each has won a game.
