Putnam Scanner for November 10, 2018

Ten people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 9:48 p.m. Travis L. Steinhauer, 41, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 6:42 p.m. Kristian Franklin Yamamoto, 22, Bloomington, was booked in for reckless driving.

• At 6:37 p.m. Matthew Andy Pavlisin, 31, Laconia, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 6:05 p.m. Derrick Wilson Johnson, 30, Lincoln, Ill., was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 2:29 p.m. Amy Lynn Miller, 37, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 1:35 p.m. Jacob Elijah Williams, 23, Greencastle, was booked in on a pair of local warrants.

• At 12:51 p.m. James William Webb, 55, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 12:14 p.m. Jessica Michelle West, 29, Coatesville, was taken into custody on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 12:12 p.m. Tonja Leona Norris, 49, Coatesville, was housed at the jail for trespassing, disorderly conduct and public indecency.

• At 12:59 a.m. James Joseph Gillian, 41, Staunton, was booked in on a local warrant.

City Police

One recent summons was issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 10:40 p.m. Monday, Kyal Campbell, 27, Poland, was issued a summons into court on a charge of possession of paraphernalia.

Campbell was stopped on South Jackson Street by Officer Alec Pettit.

Six citations were also issued by city officers.

• At 11:13 a.m. Wednesday, James Green, 20, Greencastle, was ticketed for speeding by Capt. Chris Jones.

Stopped in a school zone on Shadowlawn Avenue, Green was cited for 35 mph in a 20-mph zone.

• At 4:02 p.m. Monday, Sondra Green, 34, Cloverdale, was issued two citations by Officer Darrel Bunten.

Stopped on Indianapolis Road near Percy Julian Drive, Green was cited for being an operator never licensed and for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility.

• At 5:28 p.m. Sunday, Katherine Newkirk, 68, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham.

Cited for having an expired license plate, Newkirk was stopped on East Washington Street near Spring Street.

• At 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Donald Foley, 57, Indianapolis, was ticketed by Officer Eastham.

Cited for having an expired license plate, Foley was stopped on South Jackson Street.

• At 1:17 p.m. Oct. 21, Nicholas Bennett, 28, Greencastle, was cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction.

Cited by Officer Kyle Lee, Bennett was stopped on Judson Drive.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to two recent dispatches:

• At 12:04 a.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 504 E. Seminary St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:12 but could not determine what caused the alarm. The alarm was then reset. GFD left the scene at 12:18 a.m.

• At 4:45 a.m. on Friday, GFD was called to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway and Bloomington Street. Units arrived on the scene at 4:53, but were released as there were no injuries. GFD went back into service at 4:57 a.m.
