William R. Alexander II

William R. (Bill) Alexander II, 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 in Eustis, Fla.

He was born on April 9, 1929 in Indianapolis.

Bill retired from the Allison Division of General Motors where he worked as a quality assurance inspector. His service at Allison was broken by a nearly 20-year career as a terminal manager in the trucking industry.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Letha, as well as his daughters, Rita and Jane; his son, Richard; and grandson Brian.

He is survived by his son, Robert, and grandchildren Jeremy, Aaron, Jason, Richard, Brandy and Christian. He also has five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Graveside services will be conducted at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.
