Charles T. Croan, 89, Fillmore, passed away Thursday afternoon, Nov. 15, 2018 at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.

He was born in Indianapolis on Feb. 5, 1929.

He was married to Etta Ruth McNew Croan for 47 years, and she preceded him on April 25, 2006.

He had worked as a tool-and-die worker for Chrysler for 30 years.

After retirement he moved to the country and became a farmer.

He was a avid gardener, loved canning and always loved to hunt for antique treasures. He could usually be found up early, hunting at yard sales.

Charles was a member of the Masonic Lodge and had served in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his sons, Tom (Kelli) Croan, Fillmore, and Steve (Virginia) Croan, North Carolina; daughter-in-law Lynore Croan, Fillmore; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, wife and a son, Gary Croan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville (www.bousleyfuneralhome.com), with Pastor Dave Clayton officiating.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m until time of service.

Burial will be in Stilesville Cemetery.
