Ira Stout Jr.

Ira Stout Jr., 77, of North Vernon, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018.

He was born on Jan. 28, 1941 in Greencastle, the son of Ira B. and Alice E. (Brown) Stout.

Ira was a 1959 graduate of Greencastle High School.

Ira had retired from IBM and worked with Wendell Kelch doing restoration of antique tractors.

He was a member of the Greencastle Masonic Lodge, the Ford-Ferguson Club;and the Fly Wheelers Club.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby (Shannon) Stout; children Tammy Stout, Timothy Stout and fiancée' Emily Schreidl and Ted (wife Dana) Stout; brother Gary (wife Jean) Stout; sister Brenda (husband Darrell Goldman) Linville; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joan Hatfield; and two brothers, Richard and Stan Stout.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Interment will follow at Flatwoods Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23.
