Linda Sue Mallory

Linda Sue Mallory, 71, Brownsburg, died on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018.

Linda was born in Greencastle on Sept. 25, 1947 to Norman (deceased) and Betty Stewart.

She was married to Michael Mallory for 24 years. She has two brothers, Gregory Kent (wife Sharon) and Thomas Craig (wife Gayle), as well as two sisters, Lisa (Stewart) Grimes (husband Jerry) and Margie (Stewart) Ferguson (husband Mike). 

Linda spent her entire professional career as an administrative assistant. She was employed, among other places, at DePauw University, the Banner Graphic newspaper, IBM and she retired at IU maintenance facilities in Indianapolis.

Linda always had a passion for the arts and was able to rekindle that opportunity during retirement. She had many displays over the years at the Hendricks County Fair and Indiana State Fair, winning multiple awards and ribbons. She was president of the Indy Decorators Association where she was active with organizing many events. 

Linda enjoyed spending time with her family. She had three sons, Shane Grimes, Sean Grimes (wife Jennifer) and Tim Manion (wife Crystal), as well as three stepchildren from her marriage to Michael, Jennifer Adkins, Maggie LaRoche (husband Tony) and Matthew Mallory. Linda focused most of her energy on her grandchildren, Emma and Anna, Samuel, Erika and Liam, Abby, Austin and Gus, Ashley, Brittany and Cassandra, Max, and Lucas and Nathanael and Trey. 

There will be a celebration of her life at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home (4 Percy Julian Dr., Greencastle)from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec 1. Friends and family are welcomed to join us as we remember Linda.
