PREP ROUNDUP: Eagles fourth in Kiley Duals

CLOVERDALE — The South Putnam wrestling team competed at the Dave Kiley Duals in Cloverdale on Saturday.

In spite of missing several varsity starters due to the success of the football program, the Eagles still picked up two wins to finish the day in fourth place with a 2-3 record.

Michael Lorimer was the individual champion at 138 with a 5-0 record.

T.J. Wilson, Tanner Pistelli, Ivan Gomez and Parker Hacker all finished the day at 4-1 and collected second-place finishes.

Austin Wilson finished in third place with a 3-1 record.

The Eagles are next in action on Nov. 27 at Indianapolis Washington.

Scoring — Jeremiah Hibbeln 15 points, Kaden Childress 10 points, Jarred Bunch 6, Austin Branam 4.

South 31, North Putnam 8 (B)

Scoring — Uriah Kortz 11 points, Dalton Young 6, Peyton Crickmore and Austin Branam 4 each.

South 43, North Clay 12 (A)

Scoring — Jeremiah Hibbeln 20 points, Dalton Young 10 points, Jarred Bunch 5. Austin Branam 4.

South 29, North Clay 22 (B)

Scoring — Uriah Kortz 8 points, Peyton Crickmore 6, Griffin Garner 5, Cayden Witt 4.

“Once again both teams played very good defense in their wins,” coach Scott Fosdick said.

Parke Heritage 46, South 43 (A)

Scoring — Jeremiah Hibbeln 26 points 5 assists, Kaden Childress- 8 points, Cayden Witt 3 points, Brock Heavin and Austin Branam 2 points each.

The Eagles hit only seven of 13 free throws as a team.
