County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Tuesday

• At 12:42 a.m. Kevin William Heagy, 30, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., was lodged at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

Monday

• At 3:34 p.m. Michael Kent Hanlon, 56, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a bond revocation.

• At 3:33 p.m. Jesus Exiquio Perez, 43, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail on a court order.

City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 9:27 p.m. Sunday, Elizabeth Schreiber, 21, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Elsiana Crosby.

Taken into custody on Castlebury Drive for possession of a syringe, Schreiber was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to two recent dispatches:

•At 2:13 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 225 E. Shadowlawn Ave. for an unauthorized burn. Units arrived at 2:29 and found a small fire burning in a pit. GFD informed the homeowner of the city burn ordinance and supervised as the fire was put out. GFD went back into service at 2:34 p.m.

•At 6:07 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 208 E. Olive St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 6:11 and determined the alarm was due to burnt popcorn. The alarm was then reset. GFD left the scene at 6:15 p.m.
