KENOSHA, Wis. — Greencastle senior Emma Wilson competed in the Foot Locker Midwest Regional cross country meet on Saturday.

Wilson placed 21st in a time of 19:10.5, finishing 20.6 seconds out of the 10th-place spot she needed to qualify for the Foot Locker Nationals at San Diego next month.

The winner was senior Emily Covert of Minneapolis, who had a time of 17:58.3.

Other runners who finished ahead of Wilson hailed from Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Colorado, North Dakota and Minnesota.

Wilson was the top-finishing runner from Indiana, finishing two spots ahead of Edgewood’s Annalyssa Crain.

Wilson was representing the Miles to Go running club of Greencastle.

MTG director Craig Jordan thought the event was good for her despite not placing in the top 10 .
