Doing their part to get the city ready for the Christmas season, Greencastle firefighters decorate downtown light poles with Christmas flags and garland. Working next to the GFD station (left), firefighters Jeff Cox (on ground) and Derrick Wiatt take the east side of Indiana Street.

Meanwhile, firefighters James Shaw and Jeremy Gary take on the west side of the street. Downtown has come alive with Christmas spirit in recent weeks, between decorated poles, lights strung from the Putnam County Courthouse and Eitel’s Florist annual “wreathing of Greencastle” on Tuesday afternoon.
