Donald Thurman 'Don' Kiger

Donald Thurman "Don" Kiger, 92, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018.

He was born Oct. 11, 1926 in Indianapolis, the son of Allen Thurman and Elsie Mae (Sears) Kiger.

Don owned and operated Kiger Enterprises for several years.

He was a lifetime member and past exalted ruler of the Elks Lodge 1077, Greencastle, and a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

He is survived by his children, Connie (husband Mike) Bourne, Jerry (wife Debbie) Kiger and Kathy (husband John) VonTress; four grandchildren, Jackie, Jessica, Jordan and Erika; and three great-grandchildren, Liam, Katie and Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mabel (Curtis) Kiger; a brother and two sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at Forest Hill Cemetery with interment to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Kidney Foundation.
