Kathleen Smith

Kathleen Smith, 88, of Cloverdale, went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 10, 2018.

She was born May 4, 1930 to the late Everett and Carrie (Caudill) Kendall.

Kathleen married John Layman Smith in April 1954, and he preceded her in death.

Kathleen loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and retired from Mallory's.

She is also preceded in death by her son, John Kendall Smith; daughter Judith Ann Smith Carmony; great-granddaughter Trinity Nora Lynn Dorsett; sisters Vera Davies and Nina Nicely; and brothers Ernest Kendall and Ralph Kendall.

She is survived by her son, John Michael Smith (Dena); daughters Karen Sue Torres (Andy) and Debora Kay Dorsett; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and brother Donald Kendall.

Visitation for Kathleen will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday Dec. 14 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Friday.

Pastor Greg Hammond will officiate. Burial will be in Putnamville Cemetery.
