Baird invites students to page at Statehouse

Thursday, December 20, 2018

State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) encourages students who want to learn more about state government to participate in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2019 legislative session.

According to Baird, those who are between the ages of 13 to 18 can spend a day at the Statehouse in Indianapolis helping staff and local legislators, touring government offices, and learning about the legislative process.

“I encourage students from our area to participate in this unique experience,” Baird said. “Serving as a page helps students learn about the lawmaking process while visiting the historic Indiana Statehouse. I look forward to hosting young people from our community.”

Baird said student pages receive an excused absence from school and groups can participate together.
