County Jail

Five people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Friday

• At 12:14 a.m. Amanda May Harvey, 39, Jasonville, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe and possession of methamphetamine.

• At 12:13 a.m. Mark Robert Openshaw, 62, Bloomfield, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine.

Thursday

• At 9:18 p.m. Joseph Eugene Day, 58, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 3:21 p.m. Jason Grant Snider, 44, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a court order.

• At 10:40 a.m. Robert Allen VanSickle, 46, Rockville, was booked in for driving while intoxicated and on a local warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one recent dispatch:

• At 4:58 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a call for what was an illegal burn at 924 S. Indiana St. Units arrived at 5:02 p.m. and extinguished the fire, as well as informed the residents of the city burn ordinance. GFD went back into service at 5:16 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed three medical assists during this time.
