Gladys 'Cookie' Collins

Gladys "Cookie" Collins, 71, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019.

She was born on Aug. 13, 1947 in Center Point, the daughter of John Fulk and Hester (Lints) Fulk Smith.

Gladys collected fiber optic angels and loved to crochet. She enjoyed playing computer games, working puzzles and painting ceramics.

Gladys was a retired press operator with CBS Records for 12 years. She was also employed with J.W. Davis Gardens, Double Inn Diner, Ivy Hill, Happico and IAC.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Bud Collins; her parents, John and Hester Fulk; brothers George Fulk and John Fulk; her sisters, Mary Braden, Thelma Fulk, Ida Mae Martin and Sadie Smith; a son-in-law, Charles Branham Sr.; and a great-grandson, Andrew Stanton, Jr.

Survivors include her daughters, Mandy Nichole Collins (Jennifer), Janet Eaglin (Terry), Loretta Branham, Joyce Scank (Richard), Lisa Collins and Betty Bashaw (James); her brothers, Tom and Joe Fulk; sisters Ruth Reynolds, Ruby Barnett and Margaret Fulk; grandchildren Charles Branham Jr., Robert Branham, Derek Eaglin, Jessica Springman (Keith), Terry Eaglin Jr., Kelly Collins, Tracy Collins, Travis Collins (Stephanie), Hunter Bashaw, Cheyanne Bashaw, April Stanton (Andrew), Michael Trump, Robert Trump, Toni Weir and Charlie Bob Weir; and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 in Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., Brazil, with Pastor Jerry Campbell officiating. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
