Monday, January 21, 2019

Introduced on Jan. 28, 1958, the Lego building block is 61 years old.

In celebration, Lego enthusiasts and others are invited to join the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department for its annual Brick-Mania: Lego Birthday Bash on Sunday, Jan. 27 from 1-5 p.m. at the Putnam County Museum, 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle, for the 61st anniversary of the Lego.

Amazing creations and displays from the brick artists and engineers of the Indiana Lego Users Group (IndyLUG) will be on display as well as collections from some local fans.

The special event will be held as a Lego Fans Food Drive to help restock the shelves of the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry. Admission will be one non-perishable food item or donation per person.
