WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Indiana 4th District U.S. Congressman Jim Baird (R-Greencastle) has announced the hiring of Tanner Dean and Jackson Hammond to his first congressional staff.

Dean, a Greencastle native and Purdue University graduate, will work in the Washington, D.C. office as staff assistant for Baird.

A 2014 Greencastle High School graduate, he is the son of Michael and Teresa Dean of Greencastle.

Hammond, meanwhile, has been hired as legislative aide for Rep. Baird, who is in his first term in the U.S. Congress after eight years in the Indiana General Assembly. Hammond, who previously worked for Sen. Todd Young, also has longstanding family ties to Putnam County.

“We are excited about the team we are building,” Congressman Baird said. “These hires will ensure we are serving all constituents of our district to the best of our ability.”
