Reita Wray Wood

Reita Wray Wood, 86, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019.

She was born on Jan. 31, 1933 in Greencastle, the daughter of Gilbert and Kathryn (Wilson) Heath.

She was a 1950 graduate of Greencastle High School.

Reita had owned and operated Wood Produce Stand with her husband, John for 25 years. She had also been a cashier with Kroger for 10 years and previously worked at Coan's Pharmacy.

She was a member of the Greencastle Elks Lodge.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John N. Wood; a daughter, Terre Lansing; sons John C. (wife Brenda C.) Wood, Jeffrey G. (wife Tamie) Wood, Jerald Wood and Bradley (wife Stacia) Wood; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, that she adored.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jack and Gettis Heath; and an infant sister, Barbara Alice.

A celebration of Reita's life will be held with the family receiving friends from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Greencastle Elks Lodge, 202 S. Indiana St., Greencastle.
