Legislative Update set for Saturday morning at Farm Bureau office

The Legislative Update series focusing on legislation making its way through the Indiana General Assembly will have its second session of 2019 on Saturday, Feb. 16.

The 8 a.m. public program will be conducted in the board room of the Putnam County Farm Bureau Insurance office, 1001 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

The program is scheduled to feature the three men who represent Putnam County in the Statehouse -- District 44 State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle), District 37 State Sen. Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) and District 24 State Sen. John Crane (R-Avon)

However, as of Thursday afternoon, only Crane's appearance had been confirmed by Farm Bureau. Bray will be attending the Saturday morning session at Spencer, he related.

Putnam County Farm Bureau President Steve Cash serves as moderator and addresses farm-related issues important to Farm Bureau.

Cinnamon rolls and coffee will be provided.

The third and final Legislative Update program for the 2019 legislative session is set for March 16.
