HOLLANDSBURG -- Police were dispatched to a reported burglary in progress Sunday morning in the Hollandsburg area of east-central Parke County.

When Parke County deputies arrived, they determined two suspects were still at the scene about 10:15 a.m. They identified the two as Robert Farrell, 48, Poland, and Shannon Farrell, 43, Poland.

Deputies also determined that two other suspects had fled the scene in a vehicle. The residence had been burglarized with several items found to be missing. Deputies then coordinated with surrounding agencies to help locate the remaining suspects.

Approximately an hour later Clay County deputies located the suspect vehicle at a residence in Poland. Parke County deputies were then able to obtain a search warrant for the Clay County residence.

During execution of the search warrant, the two suspects, Zoi Farrell, 23, of Poland, and William Adkins, 27, of West Terre Haute, were found hiding in a basement and were also taken into custody.

Investigation of the Poland home also produced several items which reportedly had been stolen from the Parke County residence.

Due to the amount of property located at the home, deputies do not believe this was the suspects’ first trip to the Parke County residence.

All Robert, Shannon and Zoi Farrell, along with William Adkins, are all being held in the Parke County Jail on charges of burglary and theft as a Level 4 felony. The investigation is still ongoing at this point.

Also assisting in the investigation were the Rockville Police Department and Indiana Conservation officers.
