PCCF youth fundraiser set March 7

The Putnam County Community Foundation Youth Philanthropy Committee is planning the 11th annual Youth Philanthropy Night at Almost Home.

On Thursday, March 7th from 5-9 p.m., committee members will serve the meals, with all tips and donations going toward the Putnam County Youth Philanthropy Endowment, which provides grant funding for local charitable initiatives.

Since its inception in 2006, the Youth Philanthropy Committee has provided more than $33,000 in funding for more than 60 youth-led projects in Putnam County.

For anyone unable to attend who still wishes to support this effort, donations to the Youth Philanthropy Endowment may be made online, by mail, or in the Community Foundation office located at 2 S. Jackson St., Greencastle.

The Putnam County Youth Philanthropy Committee is comprised of students from each of the county’s four high schools who exhibit leadership and a desire to serve. Members of the 2018-19 Youth Philanthropy Committee are Mason Allen, Gayle Baugh, Garrison Bock, Whitney Boswell, Aubree Branigan, Grace Elmore, J. Andrew Fajt, Eric Hinkle, Jaxon Parmley, Evan Steffy, Mary Timm, Benjamin Wilkerson and Kinzee Wilson.

If you are interested in serving, applications for the 2019-20 committee membership are available online and due by March 22. For youth completing a service project and looking for funding, forms are available for download at www.pcfoundation.org.
