City Police

Two recent citations were issued by Greencastle City Police officers

• At 8:42 p.m. Monday, Michael Moran, 59, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Alec Pettit.

Stopped along Indianapolis Road, Moran was cited for having no financial responsibility.

• At 8:22 p.m. March 7, Kaylee Campbell, 17, Coatesville, was cited by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped on Indianapolis Road, Campbell was ticketed for disregarding a stop sign.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to five recent dispatches:

• At 5:04 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a tree in the road at 465 E. Ridgeland Rd. Units arrived at 5:15 and removed the tree from the roadway. GFD went back into service at 5:31 p.m.

• At 5:31 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to another tree in the road at 614 Westlane Rd. Units arrived at 5:39 and removed the tree from the roadway. GFD went back into service at 5:45 p.m.

• At 9:52 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to 405 S. Jackson St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 9:55 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 10:02 p.m.

• At 12:07 p.m. on Friday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 620 Primrose Lane. Firefighters arrived at 12:13 but the alarm was not sounding. No cause for the alarm could be determined. GFD returned to station at 12:34 p.m.

• At 2:01 p.m. on Friday, GFD was called to a reported motor vehicle accident at the crossing of State Road 240 and Percy L Julian Dr. However, units were unable to locate the accident in question, and returned to station at 2:18 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed three medical assists during this time.
