COATESVILLE -- Traffic in Putnam, Hendricks and Montgomery counties will be affected by a bridge deck overlay project on State Road 75, south of U.S. 36, the Indiana Department of Transportation has announced.

The bridge deck project on State Road 75, to be undertaken approximately three miles south of U.S. 36, will close the roadway on the bridge over CSX Railroad, beginning on or after Monday, April 1.

The closure is scheduled to last through July 22 of this year.

The suggested detour follows U.S. 40 to State Road 39 to U.S. 36 and back.

Force Construction Co. was awarded the $2.8 million contract. This project also includes bridge replacements on State Road 234 over Lost Creek, just over one mile west of U.S. 231, and over Jones and Armstrong Ditch, located 1.25 miles west of U.S. 231.

The projects are scheduled for completion in October 2019.
