Putnam County Yard Waste Site to open April 1

The Greencastle/Putnam County Yard Waste Site will open for the season on Monday, April 1.

The site is located at 2362 S. County Road 250 West, just past the Putnam County Highway Department.

Operating hours are 2-6 p.m. Monday, noon-6 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

For a small fee, residents may drop off grass clippings, twigs, branches, leaves and other organic yard waste. No stumps, sod or treated lumber can be dropped off.

Businesses, landscapers and contractors are prohibited from using the facility due to limited space.
