County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Friday.

• At 9:57 a.m. Joseph Anthony Fox, 19, Plainfield, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 9:46 a.m. Donna Jeanne Singleton, 54, Hulett, Wy., was booked in for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

• At 3:50 a.m. Meagan Nichole Anderson, 27, Brazil, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 9:02 p.m. on Thursday, Valarie Tippin, 40, Greencastle, was northbound on U.S. 231 just south of County Road 1000 North in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am when a deer ran into the driver’s side front fender area.

Both driver’s side doors were also damaged.

Deputy Randy Patrick estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department performed two medical assists between a Friday morning structure fire at 4720 S. CR 550 East (See page 1A).
