Putnam County Animal Care Shelter announces new hours

Monday, April 22, 2019

The Putnam County Animal Care Shelter has recently changed its hours to better serve the public.

The shelter is now open Wednesday through Friday from 3-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Applications to adopt are available on-line at www.hspcanimals.org and can be completed prior to visiting the shelter. Applications may also be completed in person at the shelter.

Animals that are currently available for adoption can be viewed on line at www.hspcanimals.org.

Profits from Rescued Treasures thrift store support the shelter. The store’s continued success depends on generous donors, tireless volunteers and loyal customers.

Volunteers are always needed at the shelter and can choose from a variety of duties needed to care for the animals. Rescued Treasures thrift store also requires a large body of volunteers to cover their hours of operation.

Volunteer forms for both facilities are available at Rescued Treasures and the animal care shelter.

Spay/neuter vouchers will be available on May 3rd and 4th at Rescued Treasures from 10 to 5.
