Marcella Mae Cox

Marcella Mae Cox, 86, of Greencastle, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Marcella was born in Lewis on Sept. 11, 1932, the daughter of Raymond and Lou Settie (Brown) Herrington,.

She was a 1950 graduate of Marshall High School in Illinois.

Mrs. Cox worked for 25 years with Columbia Records in Terre Haute.

She attended Abundant Life Church in Putnamville, and played the piano for the church. She was an excellent baker.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Russell C. Cox; three children, Tim Cree (wife Connie), Cape Coral, Fla., Debbie Hayes (husband Randy), Terre Haute, and Kelly Anderson (husband Jay), West Terre Haute; two stepchildren, Ronald Cox, Greencastle, and Gary Cox, Greencastle; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.

Services will be held noon Friday, April 26 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Jerry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Dunlap Cemetery in Dennison, Ill.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
