I-70 work will close lanes overnight for patching, resurfacing
PLAINFIELD -- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that a project on Interstate 70 will close lanes beginning Wednesday, May 1 in Hendricks County.
The contractor plans to begin in the westbound lanes between State Road 267 (Exit 66) and State Road 39 (Exit 59) and close one lane overnight from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday through Fridays. The contractor will be only closing less than a quarter-mile each night in the area they will be working.
Once westbound work is complete, the contractor will move to the eastbound lanes.
Milestone Contractors was awarded the $5.3 million contract. The project is scheduled to be completed by Sept. 30.
The I-70 project includes full-depth concrete patching from SR 39 to SR 267 and resurfacing the interstate from SR 267 to the Ronald Reagan Parkway (Exit 68).
