Concerts for Childhood Cancer Awareness slated for First Friday, First Christian

A one-day community outreach concert designed to raise childhood cancer awareness in the Greencastle community is scheduled for Friday, May 3.

The Notes on Tomorrow’s Concert is scheduled for 6:30-7 p.m. during the May First Friday event on the main stage (north side of the courthouse, across from Almost Home) and then from 7-8 p.m. at First Christian Church, 110 S. Indiana St., Greencastle.

In collaboration with the DePauw University School of Music, the Notes on Tomorrow team will visit Riley Children’s Hospital. Following a brief concert, the team will take part in a dialogue with the medical staff and young residents. Following the visit, the team will develop a concert program pertaining to Childhood Cancer Awareness in Greencastle.

The concert will be paired with a presentation given by a guest speaker and members of the Notes on Tomorrow team.

Free to the public, all donations will be given to Riley Children’s Hospital in an effort to support its efforts.
