May 6 program to look at where all the quail and bees have gone

West Central Indiana Quail Forever will host a presentation by Samantha Dame, Farm Bill biologist for Southwest Indiana Quail Forever, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 6 at the Putnam County Library, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle.

Dame’s presentation will discuss the decline of quail and pollinator habitat and how property owners can manage their large or small lands to increase habitat for quail and pollinators. Her presentation will also discuss how closely their habitats are related.

Josh Griffin, West Central Quail Forever Habitat Committee member, will also be available to answer questions regarding eligibility requirements for grants to establish and manage pollinator and quail habitat.

Light refreshments will be served.
