Realtor bingo raises $6,750 for scholarship fund
To the Editor:
On behalf of the Putnam County Board of Realtors, I would like to thank everyone that attended our 10-Year Anniversary Bingo Event on Saturday, April 13.
This bingo surpassed all of our previous events, with 200 players and record prize giveaways. To celebrate our 10-year anniversary, we gave away fifty $10 cash door prizes donated by our Realtor and Affiliate members, as well as other door, game and pull tab prizes totaling close to $9,000.
Toward our purpose of building a sustainable endowment for scholarships, we profited $6,750, making the Putnam County Board of Realtor Scholarship Fund the biggest winner of the night. In May we will be announcing the four Putnam County high school scholarship winners for 2019.
I would especially like to thank our main event sponsors for the bingo: Abstract and Title of Putnam County, Collins Evans Real Estate, Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st, First Financial Bank, First National Bank, Hayes Murphy Sharp Brackney Insurance, McCloud Electric, Neighbor Lead Real Estate, North Salem State Bank, Quality Title Service, RE/MAX Cornerstone Realty, Ruoff Home Mortgage and F.C. Tucker-Schneider Realty.
This event would not be possible without those that helped organize the event, set up tables, chairs and equipment before and after the event, plus those that volunteered their time, talents and resources. We greatly appreciate all those that donated door prizes and concession items as well.
Thank you to our members that volunteered their time the day of the bingo – Teresa Adams, Jana Brothers, Gina Carter, Samantha Cooper, Tyler Cox, My Gilley, Jennifer Hanks, Steve Jones, Elizabeth Kienzynski, Mary Looper, Tina Love, Cindy Mattox, Sue McCune, Laura Monnett, Tina Nicholson, Mary Ann Pearson, George Schneider, Suzy Schneider, Chris Skillern, Michelle Skillern and Cecil VanArsdale.
We also appreciated the help of several 4-H members, as well as some Greencastle and South Putnam National Honor Society members that assisted that day, along with those members that came out to play. Special thanks to everyone that stayed after the event to help us clean up.
Thank you for making our scholarships to Putnam County high school seniors possible.
