During a call to the Banner Graphic Tuesday afternoon, South Putnam Food Service Director Lori Boyce related that the kitchen at South Putnam High School will soon be “up and running.”

The kitchen was inspected and cleared by the Putnam County Health Department Tuesday after an oven suffered an electrical fire during A lunch late-Monday morning.

Boyce said that students were served peanut butter and jelly sandwiches Tuesday, but guaranteed that hot lunches would be provided starting Wednesday.
