Marjorie Helen Bachert

Marjorie Helen (Keck) Bachert, 90, of Roachdale, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at her residence.

She was born on June 10, 1928 in Ladoga to the late Estel E. and Mildred L. (Spencer) Keck. She was married to Roy Lee Bachert, he preceded her in death May 30, 2008.

Marjorie was a homemaker and farmer’s wife, staying at home and caring for her family. She enjoyed canning, gardening, feeding her birds and caring for other people. She will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Lady of Greencastle, Linda (Thomas) Burger of Greencastle and Bonnie (Ken) Dedic of Roachdale; 12 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Keck of Roachdale and Raymond Keck of Roachdale; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Robert Keck, grandchildren Arthur Long and Cheyenne Durham and son-in-law Bud Lady.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Fresenius Kidney Care for their genuine care and kindness to Marjorie over the past 10 years and Intrepid Hospice.

Marjorie’s funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 13 at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale, with Pastor Mark Strahm officiating. Burial will follow in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from noon until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
