Antique tractors, machinery on display at Putnam County Museum Saturday

The Putnam County Museum is again collaborating with the Putnam County Antique Tractor and Machinery Association by hosting a day of baling, threshing, burr milling and buzzsawing.

The demonstrations will begin at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of the museum, 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

This is a family-friendly activity with tractor and machinery owners on hand to share information and educate both young and old about Putnam County’s rich agricultural past and present.  

This is the third annual antique tractor show at the museum and new this year, local blacksmiths will be demonstrating their craft, answering questions and exhibiting examples of their wares.

Likewise, local spinners and weavers will be presenting demonstrations on the porch of the Museum with antique spinning wheels and local wool.

The Museum will be open and the model Pacific & Eastern Railroad will be running. Elisha Cowgill’s scenes of Putnam County are currently on exhibit along with the McCammack Founding Family exhibit.

One Stitch at a Time Extension Homemakers Club will have food and drink will be available for purchase.
