Barbara Jane (Daniels) Brookshire

Barbara Jane (Daniels) Brookshire, 99, of Roachdale, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Avon Health and Rehabilitation, Avon.

She was born on Feb. 16, 1920 in Oak Park, Ill., to the late Ralph C. and Ida (Cook) Daniels.

She married Edward Drake Brookshire on Aug. 13, 1949 in Maywood, Ill. He preceded her in death in June 2006.

She was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, Women’s Dairy Association, the Town and Country Homemakers and many offices in the county home economics.

Barbara is survived by sons Carl Drake (Cynthia) Brookshire of Noblesville and Joel Daniel (Earnestine) Brookshire of Roachdale, daughter Sarajane D. (Bill) Brookshire Fenton of Avon, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers Fred and Ralph Daniels.

Funeral servies will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at Roachdale Presbyterian Church, 14 N. Indiana St., Roachdale, with Pastor David Bower officiating. Burial will follow in Roachdale Cemetery.

Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Friday May 17, also at the church. Memorial
