William Lee Danhour

William “Bill” Lee Danhour, 71, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute with his family by his side.

He was born in Brazil on July 4, 1947 to the late Herman and Clara Ina (Raab) Danhour.

Bill graduated from Reelsville High School in 1965, and served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War, and came home to marry Connie McCullough on Oct. 25, 1969.

He was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church.

Bill retired in 2011 after years of working in factories and driving trucks. Throughout his career he worked for Columbia Records, Ringo Lumber, Lear and the United States Postal Service.

Bill loved being outdoors, spending his free time hunting, fishing, shooting, camping and mowing his lawn. He was an avid knife collector, and loved spending time with his friends and family.

Bill was preceded in death by his three sisters Mary Oliveria, Norma Stansbury and Thelma Jean Shewmaker.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years Connie Danhour, Reelsville; son Rob (Mindi) Danhour, Reelsville; nephew Bob (Brenda) Oliveria, Terre Haute; granddaughters Makaylee and Kinzi; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil, with Pastor Paul Zurcher officiating and military honors to follow.

The family will accept friends for visitation on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
