M. Kris Proctor

Maureen ‘Kris’ (Kearns) Proctor was born in Pennsylvania on Dec. 31, 1951. She died of natural causes on Sept. 10, 2018 in New Jersey.

She was a graduate of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and worked in social work in Indiana and later in Cape May, N.J., also writing for the local paper in New Jersey.

She was loved by many, including Wilma and Leo Proctor, whom she considered as surrogate parents.

As she requested, her ashes will be scattered in the ocean off Cape May by dear friends Darla Proctor Thompson, Vanessa Thompson and Camden Dean by traveling to Cape May to honor her.

She loved animals and those wishing to are asked to donate to a pet rescue of their choice.
