Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the presentation set for 6:30 p.m., Mayor Bill Dory announced.

The program will begin with a recap of how the project got to its current status, which has included the purchase of property just south of State Road 240 between Ballard Lane and the Walmart store.

The mayor said the YMCA team has been out to look at the 73.26 acres of vacant property purchased from the Ballard/Sturgeon families.

Ryan Penrod of the Wabash Valley YMCA will go over proposed programs and services for the facility, while Wade Hampton of the national YMCA office will be doing a community survey and seeking input from those in attendance.

The architect on the project, Tm Salzer, is also scheduled to discuss building design.

The evening will end with time for questions and answers.
