Registration under way for June 17-21 Police Boot Camp

Boys and girls in grades 5-8 in area schools will be given the opportunity to learn what police training is like in the annual Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department Police Boot Camp.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon June 17-21 at Robe-Ann Park in Greencastle.

Participants will be included in K-9 and SWAT drills, observe rescue dive demonstrations and more. Team-building exercises, physical fitness training, marching and flag ceremonies will be included in the program.

Pre-registration is required and costs $10 per person. Registration deadline is Thursday, June 13.

Forms can be found at Greencastle City Hall or the park office. Online registration can be done at www.greencastleparks.com.

All participants will receive a uniform T-shirt and shorts. Snacks and drinks will be included.
