County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 11:26 a.m. Randal David Harper, 41, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for probation violation.

• At 1:14 a.m. Jesus Exiquio Perez, 44, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

Tuesday

• At 7:19 p.m. Misty Lynne VanSickle, 32, Attica, was booked in for domestic battery, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to two recent dispatches:

• At 11:54 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a deer half a mile east of Percy L. Julian Drive on U.S. 240. Units arrived on the scene at 12:04 p.m. and removed debris from the roadway.

GFD returned to station at 12:23 p.m.

• At 11:21 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a call for a hot smell at 1203 E. CR 25 South. Units arrived at 11:30 and investigated the property, but could not detect a source for the smell. The smoke detectors were found to be in working order, and no further action was taken.

GFD returned to station at 11:53 p.m.
